David Hess Biography

I was born in Philadelphia PA, but I was raised in Palm Beach County and have been here since 1975. I currently live in Royal Palm Beach with my wife. I got into the fitness industry in 1997 when I started to work at an indoor rock climbing gym named On The Rocks. I taught members how to rock climb and assisted them in the gym. Unfortunately they did not stay in business very long, but I realized that I wanted to stay in this industry.

I became certified through the World Fitness Association which is a prep course for ACE. I immediately got a job as a personal trainer at The Club at Winston Trails. Six months later I was promoted to Fitness Director where I stayed for four years until the club was sold in 2002. Once I left Winston Trails I took a job at Mirasol Country Club as a personal trainer. This allowed me to take a step forward with my education and enroll at the Palm Beach Academy to get my license in massage therapy.

Since obtaining my massage therapist license in 2003, I have gained experience working in exclusive country clubs to rehabilitation and chiropractic offices. In 2005 I started to incorporate substituting hands-on classes at Palm Beach Academy.

My workouts consist of weight training, running, biking, martial arts, recreational activities ,and of course, regular massage treatments. I believe in practicing what I preach.
